PHP woes

So I spent the better part of the night trying to figure out how to interpret the php code. All I want to do is add a link in the sidebar for pictures. Is that too much to ask!?!? Man, what happened to the good ol’ days of straight up html. You’d think a years worth of java programming classes would help me out! Anyway, enough on that.

So thanks to Jordon I have a new favorite site, digg.com. I used to use fark for my random news of the day but, digg.com is a million times better. Basically it’s a site you can post articles you find online and then other users give your find a “digg” if they like it as well. It’s a simple system but it works great.

Tech Support
I’ve been doing a lot of computer work for people lately. Things I’ve learned:

  • Computer problems are NEVER simple.
  • Most people use simple passwords that are easy to crack.
  • People actually fall for those pop-up advertisements that warn your computer is at risk.
  • The same people from above think “hackers” are putting spyware and viruses on their computer.
  • Never fix a computer right away. Let people think you’re unreliable so they don’t ask you again (or worse yet, tell their friends about you).
  • There are people who don’t know how to create folders still.
  • When in doubt, FORMAT.

    Yay! Free Paintings!

    Can I just say, I have the best mother-in-law a guy could ask for. A few weeks ago my mother-in-law sent my wife and I three abstract paintings that she made just for us. Take a look at the gallery below. We love them! (Check out the photos after the break)
