cafefrenzy was created back in October 2005 by Ryan Evjen. Contrary to popular belief, cafefrenzy is not a site about coffee. Unless we’re talking about an espresso machine computer case mod. Since I started my web development business I’ve been crunched for time. As a side effect, this blog doesn’t get updated very often. I tend to post fixes for annoying development bugs I run into and other random interesting tech news or gadgets.
I am the Online Media Production Specialist for the Global Institute of Sustainability and the National Center for Excellence on SMART Innovations at Arizona State University. I also have a web/print company on the side that I run with Jon Nicol called Visdom LLC. Lately, most of my work has been creating video podcasts for my department about sustainability.
Below are a FEW of the websites that I’ve worked on in the past.
http://www.heat-waves.org
Multiple disciplines, agencies and industrial sectors have databases, methods and frameworks that if combined through a virtual organization would yield a deeper understanding of the dynamics and consequences of climate change in urban areas. Building on established partnerships, the National Center of Excellence, the US CDC, US EPA, NOAA, DOE and regional governments have come together to create an innovative cyber-infrastructure virtual organization that will enable members to rethink and redesign on-going and future research of complex urban climate-engineered systems. This organization will provide a practical and user-friendly platform for domestic and global stakeholders to more effectively prioritize resources that address adaptation, vulnerability and mitigation strategies.
http://www.asusmart.com
This is the main website for NCE SMART Innovations. The site was designed to educate the community on applying sustainability concepts to the built environment. asuSMART.com also has information on the NCE’s current research, facilities, faculty, outreach and we’re in development of some nifty web applications to aid architects and building developers.
http://cstm.asu.edu
This site was developed for an executive education graduate certificate for the W.P. Carey School of Business and the School of Sustainability. The clients wanted a professional looking site, that would market the program and highlight their student’s work.
http://www.teachenergy.org
Website for a week long sustainable energy fellowship that is administered by NCE SMART Innovations. Check out the website for details.
